How to Use the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal

How to Establish a DS Login

If you have not established a DS Logon, follow the steps provided via the MHS GENESIS information page.

Booking Appointments

The following Mountain Home Clinics have direct appointment booking available via the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal:
  1. From the Home page click ‘Schedule a New Appointment’ from the Home Page.
  1. Select who the appointment is for in the using the drop down menu.
  2. Once you have selected the correct patient, change the search option by clicking ‘Visit Reason.’
  1. Using the drop down menu choose a reason for your visit, that best fits the patient’s demographic (Active Duty, Retiree or Family Members) from the following options:
  • Family Medicine in Person Visit or Family Medicine Telephone Visit (Active Duty Family Members, Retirees, and Retiree Family Members)
  • Flight Medicine in Person Visit or Flight Medicine Telephone Visit (Active Duty Members on Flying Status)
  • Military Medicine in Person Visit or Military Medicine Telephone Visit (Active Duty Only)
  • Pediatric in Person Visit or Pediatric Telephone Visit (Active Duty Family Members and Retiree Family Members under 18 years)
  1. Once the ‘Visit Reason’ has been selected click ‘Search.”
  2. Using the drop down menu select the clinic location from the following options:
    • Air Force Medicine Mountain Home Flight Medicine (Active Duty Members on Flying Status)
    • Air Force Medicine Mountain Home Family Medicine Active Duty Team A (Active Duty Only)
    • Air Force Medicine Mountain Home Family Medicine Team B (Active Duty Family Members, Retirees, and Retiree Family Members)
    • Air Force Medicine Mountain Home Pediatrics (Active Duty Family Members and Retiree Family Members under 18 years)
  3. Apply filter
    • Search by Primary Care Manager (PCM) use the drop down menu to select your provider, then click ‘Apply’.
    • To search by date range use the drop down calendar to select desired date, then click ‘Apply’.
  1. The first available appointments will be displayed. To schedule an appointment click ‘Select” from the list of available appointments
  1.  Provide reason for visit in the block titled ‘Describe any specific request of special needs you want us to consider in preparation for your visit.
  2. Select the best contact method for the appointment, “Patient Portal’ or ‘Phone’.
  3. Click “Schedule Appointment” to finalize the booking.
