Laboratory

We provide Laboratory services to active-duty service members, dependents, retires, and other qualifying beneficiaries. The lab does not accept paper lab orders from beneficiaries who are not assigned to a 366th MDG PCM. These beneficiaries will need to use a local TRICARE-approved network laboratory instead.

Services Provided

We are a limited-service laboratory performing basic testing. Specialized tests, histopathology, and cytology specimens are shipped outside the facility to military and civilian reference laboratories. You can expect to receive results for these tests in 10 to 14 business days.

Important Information

Requests from civilian providers must include the doctor’s license and/or DEA number, telephone, and fax number. These orders must be received 3 duty days before you arrive for walk-in services. You can drop off your lab orders at the laboratory front desk or have your provider fax lab orders to 208-828-3788. You can obtain copies of your results from the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal. Check with your provider to see if you are required to fast for your blood draw. The laboratory cannot advise patients on whether they should fast for a blood draw.
